Headlight Studio is the technology practice of Taylor Zanke. I work on projects with creative, non-profit, and editorial organizations, studios, and individuals, often blending creative direction, technical and design execution, and strategy together in one process. I commonly work with clients, of all sizes, in long term collaborations where the evolution of shared vocabulary, values, and goals can inform what gets built and why. Fundamental to this practice is the conscious choice to adapt to each project's particular constraints and aspirations, allowing the natural completion of the work to emerge through an informed and intentional process.

My approach to technology is rooted in a deep appreciation for craft, process, and a commitment to curiosity. I am influenced by my own parallel practices in publishing and art. At Headlight Studio I develop systems of typography, code, and interaction, rooted in close attention to the way things feel in spirit and use, that help to communicate the values and ideas of my clients across today's digital formats.
